I am a single female that is thinking of checking out Neil Patrick Harris at the Candlelight Processional this Saturday, Dec 10th. I've never seen the Candlelight Processional and I hear it's amazing so I would like to check it out, however none of my friends have a pass to WDW so I would be going over by myself. I hear the Processional can get emotional, would it be weird to be solo watching it? Not only have I never gone to the CP but I've never gone to WDW solo, so this will be a first for me all the way around. I'm a little nervous.

I'm so glad you posted! I too am dying to see NPH this weekend, and most of my Disney friends say that the concerts are PACKED, that most people only get a seat with an ADR, etc, so they don't want to fight the crowds. I feel like Saturday would be the busiest of his three performances (Sunday and Monday are the others), but I would love to try to meet up with you and fight for a seat! (Or at least swing by for a few pictures of him narrating). :)

I do anticipate a huge crowd, but I'm going to be at MK earlier in the day to meet another podcaster so I figured after that meet I would head over to Epcot, grab something to eat/drink and take over to the pavilion and wait. If you want to try to meet up PM me your cell # and I'll give you mine. :)

I've been to the Candlelight Processional three different years, all solo (and one time I saw Neil Patrick Harris) I never felt odd about being solo. Well, except for one time-after NPH's show, I saw him in Germany. I immediately hid behind a post, and was going to surreptiously take his picture. That time I felt a little strange, a bit like a stalker:goodvibes.

Hi!

I just did CP solo with Michael W. Smith last week and ended up just standing in the back and listening. As we were standing I was able to talk to a few other people. I'm not a very talkative person but it was nice to just have a friendly chat. I decided not to wait in the stand by line simply because it was so long and I wanted to make sure I could leave quickly. It is a bit long to stand though. It was really enjoyable even solo. I enjoyed the time to myself.

I did it solo last year on Christmas Day and didn't feel strange in any way. I'm doing it solo again this year on Christmas Eve and expect to enjoy it as much as ever. Then again, I do everything solo all the time, so I'm used to it.

I saw NPH solo a few years ago and felt no awkwardness. You are packed in like sardines ;-), so there is really no way to see who is and who is not solo. I did the dinner package, and it was a real help, as the lines were bonkers. You still have to get there pretty early and you still have to wait in line, but it reduces the stress of wondering whether you'll make it into the show. It was one of the highlights of my visit.

I will be seeing NPH this Sunday, Dec 11, and got ADR for the show. I don't think I could brave the lines without the dining package.

Good luck - you should have a great time!
