Hi Sonia,
I am a middle school teacher who has had students lose parents to cancer. My room partner had breast cancer and I'm familar with Chemo. A positive
attidtude will go along way in helping you master this. After 5 years my partner had a partial mascetomy but now is cancer free for 5 years. I have put you on my prayer list as well as the church prayer list. You have many people who love and care about you. You are very brave and have shown a lot of courage. I am here if you want to talk. :grouphug:

like my coach says " if u believe you will succeed " and this refers to every one ;) and always remebber u will always have your friends from dis boards

3 of my close friends have actually had cancer, and they have all made it through, even though it's tough! Stay strong, and keep believing in your self, and trust the doctors!

If you don't mind me asking, how did your friends handle all the chemo treatments?
They are the killer for me.

YES THEY ARE! Picture yourself victorious. Remember you are an overcomer.
Draw on the strenght of your family and friends. My friends kept a journal
and recorded all her thoughts as an outlet. Sometimews she drew pictures
and vented. Know that many prayers and lots of love surround you everyday.:grouphug:

Thanks everyone for your support and advice.
I can't wait 'till this ordeal is over.
Hopefully, that should be anywhere in the next 6 months or sooner.
I just want to be able to eat a full meal again.
Oh,what I would give to do that.

So,thanks everyone.
Your advice and support has really helped.
Thanks,
Sonya.

I'm so sorry, if you ever need to talk, I'm here.
My grandpa had pancreatic cancer, my grandma had breast cancer, and my great aunt had brain cancer.
My friend's mom is recovering from ovarian cancer, and my neighbor had leukemia and is completely fine now.
You just have to remember that you will make it through this, and you have so many people that care about you- your family, friends, and everyone on the DIS.

Hi,
Just checking in to let you know that I am thinking about you and praying for you as well. Everyday that goes by you are a step closer to victory. My boss has recovered from lyphoma and will becoming back to school this
September. He always confessed that he believed God would heal him and he would make it. He did and his positive attitude really helped him. I know some days are rough but just picture yourself cured and victorious.:grouphug:

My mom has had cancer twice. She made it through both times. She had hopschkins (sp) disease when she was in highschool and she had breast cancer two years ago. My grandma had breast cancer. When she found out she made a deal with God that if she made it through, she would never drank alcohol again, she made it through, and is still alive today.

Good luck, I hope you'll be able to defeat the cancer. I know many people who have :thumbsup2

My old [/baby-sitters sister had cancer. But I Don't know what it is called. Alsomy best friend's mom had cancer.FONT]

stay strong!! u can get through this... even though the chemo is difficult, think about how much better it is goging to make u

Hi again!
I just wanted to thank you all for your thoughts and prayers.
Your words have helped so much.

Later today I'm going to get a haircut.
Just to make the transition easier on me for when I do lose my hair.
I'm slowly regaining my strength and an appetite.
But,this chemo is drying me out like you would not believe.
I am constantly drinking fluids and it gets annoying at times having to drink so much.

Thank you all,so much.
Sonya.
