Cancelling with banked points?

Quick question and I have a March UY.
I am getting ready to book a trip in March 2014. I have some points from 2013 that I want to bank into 2014 for the March 2014 trip. If I cancel the March 2014 trip (I would cancel in the next 2 months and re-book a larger room), where do the points banked from 2013 go? From my understanding, they go into the points allotment for 2014 and would have to be used before Feb 2015. Is this correct? TIA!

Banked and borrowed points stay in the UY that they were banked or borrowed into.

You are correct, they are good until the end of your 2014 use year, Feb 2015
