We are considering booking a cruise for 3 adults next year that includes our adult son but I am wondering what happens if for some reason he finds can't go with us. Does the original reservation stay the same but just doesn't include the third person and keeping all of our previously booked preferences or is the change considered a new reservation where we might have to be on a wait list for some of our preferences? Thanks

It's easier to take away a person than add a person. I had to do this with my DD. We are on the upcoming August Northern European Cruise. I originally booked her in our cabin, but the cruise ended up interfering with school, so we had to remove her. We got her portion refunded. Nothing happened to our meal time or anything else on our reservation. If you have booked excursions, he would simply be removed from the reservation.

You can cancel the 3rd person before PIF no problem. If you drop anyone after the PIF date there is a penalty depending how close to sail date.
