Cancelling reservation with one time use points?

What happens to the one time use points? Reservation was made with contract points and a few OTUP. Thanks.

You still have them and they expire at the end of your UY. They cannot be banked. You should be able to book with them online.

If you have any other trips that booked within 7 months in the same UY, you can modify it to pick up those points, assuming it’s more than 31 days in advance so you don’t end up with holding points.

So hypothetically if i wanted OTUP that i could use to book online within the 7 month window (ie an 8am, difficult to book resort), i could call MS, book something with OTUP, then cancel that reservation?

Yes. You just need to make sure the fake night you buy them for is in the same UY of the trip, and it’s at least 31 days out to avoid holding when you cancel.
