Cancelling reservation and reusing tickets

We're considering a trip to Disneyland for a couple of days in March. If we buy tickets and make park reservations, but end up having to cancel the trip, can we cancel the reservation and reuse the park tickets another time? If so, how soon prior to the reservation do we need to cancel, and how long would we have to use the tickets? If we buy all of our tickets together, can we cancel just one person's tickets, or would we have to cancel the whole group? Thanks for your help and experience!

I've had to cancel a few times and make new reservations, it's no problem at all. I think the only issue for making new reservations is if you wait too long to do it the days you want might not be available.

I think you just have to cancel within a day of your reservation, but I'm not positive. Maybe someone else can clarify.

As far as I know you can cancel just one person's ticket and it won't affect the rest.

how long would we have to use the tickets?

The nice thing about Disneyland tickets is that you don’t ever actually lose the value of the ticket. So even if the ticket says “expires 12/31/2022” that just means that if there is a price increase in tickets after you bought your ticket, that you would need to pay the difference between what you paid on the ticket and the new price after the expiration date. Does that make sense?
