Good day- so I have had an active MDE account for over 5 years now I would guess. In the last trip I booked, at the 60 day Disney dining reservation window my account would not recognize our on site hotel booking, so I could not book our dining. I contacted tech support, and the issue is known with some accounts, but no immediate fix. The agent was great in helping me book dining by phone, but admitted that they may not have a solution to fix the glitch, and I may need to migrate to a new account. I have a trip we are beginning to plan for in October, and I don't want to take any chances with being unable to book dining at 60 days .....Has anyone closed one account and opens another? is it that easy? I have 8 days with park hopper, genie plus I also need to migrate so I'm a little nervous they could lose it all somewhere along the way. Any thoughts or suggestions appreciated

Had to do it. Yes. Easy. No. Can’t do it yourself. You need tech support to do it for you. Good news is once done, knock on wood, so far, all issues have been fixed

Nothing was lost during the migration. It’s been several years now. This far no more problems either. Hope it stays that way

Did you try making ADRs on the website through the "Reserve Dining" link in the MyDisneyExperience pull down on the top right? I had an issue where it wouldn't let me book past day 1. Someone mentioned the same issue, and using this method worked.

Definitely would require IT otherwise.

Ok thanks for this - glad to know in advance not to waste time trying to go it alone

I did try to do it once logged in, using "things to do" and selecting "make reservations".....it takes me to the same page as "make reservations " under MDE drop down - it was exactly as you said- could not make reservation beyond day 1

Yeah, they have to migrate the account data. I suppose if you have nothing in your current account you want to bring over to the new account, such as existing tickets, magic bands you still want to be able to use or an annual pass then you can start with a new account yourself. It would loose all your past trip history. No clue if that holds any importance or not quite honestly

Between magic bands and our annual passes starting new myself was not an option for me

That's the exact problem I had when going through "Things To Do", but it works for me using the link from the MDE drop down. I have gotten it to work for 2 trips now, May and July. Hope yours gets fixed soon.
