Cancelling FP+

I have tried searching but if someone could direct me to where I can find the answer I would sure appreciate it. Say I go to Epcot and use my first FP then walk on to my other two choices before the time of my next two fast passes comes up. Can I cancel those two and get two new ones- including another tier one? Can I cancel them and go to another park and get more?
TIA

YOu can change your FP+ choices as long as you change them before your time your reserved. However you will not be able to get another Tier 1 choice unless you turn in your Tier 1.

You also cannot change parks and make FP choices once you have used one of your FP's in your current park.

You can however change all your choices for that day to another park as long as you have not used any. We did that one day as we found we were walking on all the rides including our FP choices so we changed them all to a different park for the afternoon and then park hopped over there and rode our FP choices.

Our experience in mid-November:

At Epcot, we used our Tier 1 FP+, then tried to cancel the two Tier 2s. The app would not let us cancel them. Kiosk CM told us that we must let the time for the two Tier 2 FP+s expire (or use them) before we could get a 4th FP+.

However, it appears now (thanks to famy27) that we could have cancelled the two Tier 2 FP+s PRIOR to using the Tier 1 FP+ if we had done it on the website.

If you try to cancel FP+s on the app, the only Cancel option is to cancel ALL three FP+s for the day (while the website allows you to cancel just one, two, or three FP+s).

That is cumbersome and effed up. Thanks for the info but what's the point of having to use TWO apps when cancelling or revising FP+? That's just horrendous use of technology of having to use the website and the apps when visiting the parks.

I agree. I found the web site version to be much more powerful than the actual phone app.

You wouldn't need to use two apps. You can use the MDE website only. You book all three FPs and then immediately cancel the two you don't want. It only takes a few seconds.

Then, when you get to the park and use your Tier 1, you can immediately book any ride (whether Tier 1 or Tier 2).

Yes but my point is the app should work in coordination of the website.

Agreed! I actually hate the app so much that I never use it, so I didn't realize that you couldn't cancel FPs individually in the app.

The MDE app never ever worked for us. So frustrating - especially when cm's said just make changes using the app. I even showed a CM the error message we kept getting and they said try again later. Thanks but later never worked.

We didn't realize we couldn't cancel FP's. What we did was change our afternoon FP's to morning FP's even if we weren't going to use the morning ones. That way they would expire quickly and we could try to find something else we wanted.
