Dumb question (maybe): So, now that you can check-in online 60 days in advance, this begs the logical question can you still cancel your reservation once you "check in"? It seems you should since no-penalty cancellation period is 30 days, so you are still outside this, and even the penalty period of 30-1 day should allow you to cancel up to the day before. I have no plans to cancel, just a little reluctant to check-in 60 days out just in case I have to cancel 30 days out (or less). Maybe I'm just overthinking this, but just seems like it shouldn't be possible other than the fact that online check-in for Disney isn't really check-in in the traditional sense. Thanks!

Yes, as long as you cancel 31 days or more, you are still able to cancel without any penalty based on your banking deadline. You are correct, while you are "checking in" you are not physically at the resort on arrival day where the points are considered "used".

Enjoy! :)

All online check-in does is preregister your information (credit card, etc). It does not assign a room. So you can cancel.
