I have a SN child and we will by ourselves. I can't really do my favorite Boma's because I would have to make my DS get up and down for each time he needed more food and when I wanted something. It just doesn't seem like we would have a good time.

Where else should I consider? I was thinking Italy in Epcot. I have called each day for a cancellation at LeCelliers. He doesn't like characters which is good.

Where do you suggest?

What about Kona Cafe at the Poly, it is also a little bit "exotic" like Boma. Also Restaurant Marrakesh comes into mind, even though I have not eaten there yet.

I also read good things about the Wave at CR and the Grand Floridean Cafe at the GF. If you were considering Epcot

Will there be another adult with you? Maybe you could take turns staying with your ds, if not I am sure you will get lots of help from this board.

Tutto Italia is fantastic but so isnt Jiko and Flying Fish!

No other adult, just my wonderful child and myself. It is going to be a great time but I am seeing a bunch of mistakes like Boma's.

I also wanted to get the Slipper but find that I have go to a tea party. No way will my little man sit for 2 hours or even 1 hour. Slipper out!

I like the Italian place. We have Kona's booked already. Jiko out, too fancy for us alone.

I've never tried Tutto, but I am also not a pasta person and without getting pasta, I was left with very few choices so we just haven't been there.

But since you want Epcot, what about Spoodles? I would recommend Spoodles, it's YUMMY.

Non-buffet restaurants that children typically enjoy ----

Teppan Edo -- a lot of fun and good food, too.

Rainforest Cafe (either DTD or AK)

Restaurant Marrakesh

Chefs de France

I've read somewhere that the new restaurant at AKL is less formal than Jiko. I don't know that from personal experience, and i don't know whether it is already open or will be open when you are there.

Also ---- just a thought ----- some buffet restaurants allow their servers to assist with serving those who need the assistance. I wonder whether that might be the case at Boma and other Disney buffets -- and whether that would be a way for you to still enjoy Boma. But I wouldn't know who to ask to find out (other than other DISers).

Tutto is great. Go you will not be disappointed!

For Epcot here are a few choices Been to all all are good.
Teppen Edo
Coral Reef
Tutto
LC

I was worried about the getting up and down when DD9 and I went to the Crystal Palace by ourselves.

It worked out fine though because when only one of us was ready for more food, we would wait until the other person was ready too and then we would go together and get more. It turned out we didn't have too many up and down trips - I think it was only 3 - twice for entrees and once for dessert.

I don't know if this would work with your SN child. But I thought I'd let you know what I did at a buffet with just a 9 year old and myself.

My kids like to go to Sci-Fi ,Kona ,O'Hana ,Whispering Canyon,Coral Reef and I have a SN child also.:goodvibes
