I snapped up the $56 RT tickets from Vacation Express and am taking the whole family in September. I want to cancel my AAA package scheduled for October (haven't made the last payment, but have paid via cash and CC). Can I do this without penalty? Anyone done this before?
My AAA charges $35 for cancelled trips (after the initial deposit) plus anything the Resort/Package would charge. If you're more than 45 days out, it should just be the $35. If you try to have AAA switch the dates for you, then there should be no charge.
I'm going to call tomorrow morning. We're, like, 68 days out, so I should be OK. I'd rather book through CRO because I HATE calling AAA every time I have a question (plus, they're only open until 5 p.m.). I'd be completely reworking the ressie -- going from 2 ppl at POFQ for 4 nights to 6 ppl at ASMo for 3 nights in 2 rooms. I've got the rooms reserved already -- just need to calm the rest of the family down, who were so gung-ho about the cheap airfare and are now freaking out about the rest of the costs!
And thanks on the pic. That was on her birthday, and she got both the Tink costume AND the suitcase.
Sorry, I don't know the answer to your question, but that adorable photo in your signature could be my 2yo standing in front of our front door, except that your yellow looks a little brighter than ours! I swear, she has the same hair, a pink (Tinkerbell, no less) bag on wheels, and a very similar Tink costume! What a small world (no pun intended, of course)!
That photo is so cute! I've got a 2yo little Tink too but she wouldn't be caught dead with a "PINK" suitcase. Mine thinks she can fly with her Tink wings on her "infant" Tink dress that she can still bearly squeeze into. I want to get her a new little girl one (and really like this year's with cap sleeves vs. the long sleeve one they had last year...) but I'm afraid to get her the big wings.
Oh, mine LOVES the pink suitcase. She spotted it in a Kohl's a couple of weeks ago, pointed at it from down the aisle, and said "I need that!" She ran for it and pulled it off the shelf and just kept calmly repeating "no, I need this" when I tried to talk her out of it. Then I showed her a Hello Kitty one, and she held it up and said "oh, I need two!" In the end, she put the Hello Kitty back, but the whole thing was so darn funny that I couldn't resist buying the Tink one. She was so insistent that she "needed" it, but never got mad or anything. It just cracked me up. She pulled it around empty everywhere we went for the next couple of days.
Our Tink costumes are a little ratty because they've been worn a lot by my older dd and her friends, but I should take a picture of my little one in front of the door in one. The resemblance is remarkable!
Aren't they too funny! My little Tink has the attitude thing all down! She's all tomboy so I was surprised when she asked to wear her Tink dress a few weeks ago. She's a late talker so I just learned a few months ago of her disdain for the color pink. She leaves the princess thing for her older sister. She's all about dinos, Buzz and anything with big teeth (loves Bruce from Nemo).
Yes, but they were closed at the time of the posting. It never hurts to ask your friends on the board.
I called this morning and cancelled -- the pushy lady asked me why (it really wasn't any of her business, I thought... She said the money I paid via CC would be refunded ASAP, but the cash payment I made would take 3-4 weeks to refund, since they have to get the money back from Disney. She didn't say anything about a cancellation fee.

That's from the Disney store, just bought a week ago. And the wings, well, they're getting glitter ALL OVER the house. DH had it on his forehead last night, and DD didn't even have the wings on. I told him Tink had sprinkled him with fairy dust. He was not amused.
