Cancelling a trip question

I may have to cancel our upcoming trip and I’m unclear on the rules. If I cancel 31 days in advance do I have until the end of the day? We are supposed to check in May 29th. Stay booked with April UY, 2022 pts mostly and 20 banked pts from 2021. So, I think I have to decide by Thursday or is it Weds by midnight? I then can either use (or bank the 2022 pts by. Nov.) but have to use or lose the 2021 pts this UY, correct?

I would not wait until the last minute because if there are website issues and MS is closed, you may end up with holding points.

I would cancel by Wednesday just to be sure.

Thanks! I’m going to try and know in advance but unfortunately it’s a little out of my hands. A new medical issue that I don’t know if it will interfere with out trip and I don’t meet with the doctors until Tuesday and Weds. Do I have until the end of the day Thursday? Assuming no website issues? Or until MS closes on Thursday?
