Can someone point me in the direction of what the cancellation policy is for a table service meal?

I have a couple reserved but may cancel them when it gets closer. But I don't want to wait too late and get charged any type of fee. How far in advance do I need to cancel?

Thanks!

I believe it says you have to cancel within 24 hours of the reservation or you get charged, and if you did them online you should be able to cancel through the site. If not just call Disney and they'll cancel it for you.

Most restaurants must cancel the day before the reservation (not 24 hours, just the day before) or you would incur a $10 per person penalty. (Note, the penalty is per person. Not per reservation.)

There are some that have a different cancellation deadline. For example, if you booked a Candlelight Processional dinner package, you would have to cancel that two days ahead of time or incur the penalty. Victoria & Albert's has a $20 per person penalty instead of 10. There may be a different cancellation time window for dinner shows; I don't know what that is, but if you don't cancel those in time, the penalty is the full cost of the meal/show.

Apparently, they extended a 24 hour cancellation policy to all TS meals late last year. If you don't cancel by at least the day before, or simply just don't show, you'll be charged $10/person on the ADR.
The only exception is the meals that already require pre-payment, for those you won't receive a refund.

I have heard from people that if you call with a good reason for a last minute cancellation, they're pretty good about not charging the fee, but I'd say that's the exception, not the rule.

Don't they close the dining line at 10 PM?

So you couldn't get through to them if you're trying to cancel one that way.

However, you might still be able to cancel, via a resort concierge for example.

Thanks for the feedback! I will definitely make a decision the day before.

None of them are character meals or dinner shows. Just regular TS meals.

There's no different option for character meals (unless it's CRT which is prepaid). They're all the day before.
