Cancelled US Air Flight

We booked our flight with US Air for November out of Philadelphia back in March and checked on our confirmation today to find out it was cancelled. We were checking because we had a few other problems. We were lucky because we got back on the same flights, different seats. Has anyone else had this same problem with US Air? Do not want to keep checking on confirmation every day but we are a bit worried.

They didn't notify you? Yikes, I am a little worried about that, because I booked for flights on US Air for our Sept. trip (free dining). I wonder if this happens a lot on US Air. Gosh, now I am going to keep checking back too.

I wonder if they apply the "cancellation" penalty to themselves when they cancel. I was reading they have a $100 penalty for cancelled ressies (and you rebook with the credit) or if you change the flight -- I think they should give you a $100 per ticket I am most concerned that they cancelled the flight and didn't even let you know

Once you book a flight you should check it often. Almost all the airlines fail to notify you when there is a change in the flights.

Our USAir flight times have changed 3 times and the plane has changed once all in a matter of 2 months. We have never been notified but I do keep checking it almost daily just to make sure they don't change it again.

However, our return flight is on JetBlue and they did change times. They emailed us immediately telling us of the change in times and had us "okay" it.
