We had to cancel our trip to WL due to the passing of my father. We were supposed to leave tonight, but it just didn't seem right to leave for vacation a week after it happened.

So, now I have rescheduled our trip for March to the CBR. I requested one of the Martinique buildings and the first floor. What else do I need to know about CBR? We've never stayed there before!

My sympathies to you on the loss of your father.

So sorry to hear about your father :( :(

I've stayed at CBR twice, May 2001 and Feb 2002, and I love this resort. I have info and pictures on my web site, click on the links below. CBR will be reopening soon, with a brand new food court and sit-down restaurant, so the pics of the food court are not representative of what you'll see in March.
Have a great trip, and please don't hesitate to ask more questions. I think requesting Martinique was a great idea, I've stayed in Martinique 25 twice and I love that location :)

Thanks for your condolences.

I checked out your website. It's great! I am really excited now! (I sent my husband the link to check out too!). My daughter will be turning 6 while we are down there. I'm going to try to get breakfast at Cinderella's for that day. But I'm open to other suggestions to make it a special day!

So sorry to hear about your Dad! Hugs.

Margie,

So sorry to hear about your father!
You were right in putting off the trip- you all need some time.

CBR is so relaxing! That's the first words that come to mind. We were in Trinidad North, which was okay . I would try to get Martinique. The new food court should be great. The pool bar and main pool are a lot of fun, but we did spend more time at our quiet pool and relaxing on the hammocks.

The rooms are very spacious and do have more of a deluxe feel- lots of storage, coffeemaker, hairdyer, iron. Whatever you don't see in your room, just request it fom housekeeping . We had towel animals daily there and it was sooooo quiet. Were were on the first floor and right near our bus stop.

Sorry to hear about the passing of your father. I wish you and your family well during the holiday season.

I have stayed there twice, and in fact have changed my reservations back to CBR for this summer. You'll love it. We were in Martinique building 25 also. What a short walk to the food court and a decent walk to the bus stop. I requested a courtyard view room and looked at all the lovely landscaping. You'll love your stay there. :)

Muffy,Suzy and SM4987-Thank you for your kind words.

I was wondering if there was a hair dryer in the room. I couldn't find it listed. One less thing to pack!

I was reading on the restaurant board, that there is a new character dinner at GF. It features Cinderella, the prince, the fairy godmother, Anastasia and Drizzella. Maybe that could be another choice for you. I'm going to check it out. GF here I come. As far as the hair dryers, I don't even remember! I had brought my own from home and didn't look while I was there. OOPS! I hope that you can make her birthday special. There are so many great places to eat and things to make her day special. I hate that none of our birthdays fall when we are going. I'm 28 and would love a disney birthday!

So sorry for the loss of your father:(

We stayed at CBR this March and really liked it.

There is a lot more storage than at the other mods. We thought the resort was lovely and enjoyed the short walk to the pool and food court.

There were several ducks that were outside our door so much we named them--Jake and Donald:D

Everyone has been so kind. Thank you!

SM - Thanks for the heads up! I just got a PS for my DD's 6th birthday at the new Cinderella Gala feast at 1900 Park Faire! She will be so excited (and I am too!) Wait until the hubby hears!

As soon as you get to your room, call Housekeeping and ask them to bring you a hairdryer. If you will need an iron and ironing board, or extra pillows, towels, or blankets, you can request all these items at the same time, too. You don't have to be in your room to wait for Housekeeping to bring them, they will leave them in the room for you while you're gone. I always do this; as soon as we get to the room I request a hair dryer, extra towels, pillows, and blankets. Then we go out and do whatever we have planned, and the items are waiting for us when we return. There is no charge for the use of any of these items during your stay, by the way. :)
