Cancelled Teppanyaki? Call back for VIP!!

I was on hold for 1 hour and 20 min last night without an answer (I think that the special phone line was closed but I was put through to it anyways).

Has anyone left their name and number instead of staying on hold? If so, how long did it take for Disney to call you back?

Would really like to get a reservation for Le Cellier.

I got up and called at 8:30 this morning when they first opened. When they are closed the message states it is directly for Teppenyaki help, but when I got through this morning, I thought I had been transfered to disney dining instead, but It ended up being for teppenyaki help only. Anyhow now that I've rambled, I was on hold for about 30-40 minutes and got everything switched over to LeCellier with no problems, now mind you we are still gonna be at 2 tables, but at least we have the same times. So definately try in the morning. Good Luck!!

If I remember correctly he told me it was between Canada and the next area, maybe America. Its a terrace that sits out onto the lake lower than the normal walkway. It should be a wonderfull place to view the show.

According to the CM I spoke with she thinks it will probably be at the bridge wher you enter into the World Showcase.:confused3 It's been 11 years since I have been to Epcot so some of you may be more familiar with that area than I am. She told me I would go to Epcot guest relations to get my VIP passes, but others have said they would get them at the restaurant that night.:confused3

I was told VIP seating was at the entrance to future world, between the 2 gift shops.

I called today at around 11am my time and I got through right away (no holding). I was able to get a table for 2 at LeCellier on 8/30 and the VIP for Illuminations. I was told the VIP section was between Canada and England if I remember correctly.

I got the dreaded phone call today from WDW about our 9/1 ressie. I had them check other Epcot restaurants but of those avaiable we either already were eating there other days or didn't care to try them. We booked the Plaza at MK instead.

We received VIP seating on 8/31 instead (our Alfredos night) and was told the VIP area was between Morroco and Italy :confused3
I have to laugh since Morroco and Italy are not next to each other...

So, if I I've already canceled and rescheduled our Teppanyaki ADRs, can I call that number and get the Illuminations VIP seating? My parents were so upset about losing that ADR (its probably their first and only trip to WDW and maybe their only trip to a Japanese steak house). It would be nice to give them a little gift.

I had a returned a call today about my AVR's at Teppan, my avr's were for a sunday in September.
We'll the lady said oh I see you have Lecellier for Friday. (thanks to a DIS member I received the table for 2) Anyways I said yes I'm trying to get a table for 4 so my daughter's can join.. Voila... They upped it to a table for 4 at Lecellier plus the VIP of Illuminations at the World showcase...

Leaves me nothing for Sunday but I'm just excited for the table for 4 at Lecellier for my whole family . I have been calling everyday. :cool1:

I say go ahead and call - I had canceled mine before they started calling people and when I called today I got LeCellier and VIP for Illuminations. They did ask me for my confirmation # for my previous reservation.

Thank you for posting about this I was able to call and spoke with a CM who was able to get us in on 9/13 at Le Cellier and for VIP illumination seatings.

The DIS rocks!

I rebooked our Tepenyaki reservation for 10/25 to the Coral Reef...I heard about the VIP seating for Illuminations and they did not offer that to me on the phone...so I called back and the CM said that they are calling all Aug/Sept people first and will get to October reservations in the next week or so. SO...I will be waiting to get my VIP seating for Illuminations! That is a nice compensation! Very excited!

Thank you for the 1-800 # listed on here! I connected right to a rep. who changed our reservation for 9/12 to Le Cellier at 6:40 (had 6:15) and gave VIP seating for Illuminations. I was doing the happy dance all over the house!:cheer2:

Yea I was pro active too about changing my reservation after the first annoucement. I could only get San Angel Inn @ 4:30 or 8:30pm. Then I heard on here a few days ago about the VIP illuminations. I called and got transferred to the special line, left a message and they called me back with in a few hours. I told them I already changed my reservations after the first annoucement and wondered if they had any more openings at San Angel and they had a 6pm so I got it changed to that and got the vip passes too :-)

I believe the vip section in around Morraco at the boat dock atleast it was there the last time we went but they could have a few places they do it.

Thank you so much for starting this thread.

We are now booked to have lunch at Le Cellier (sooo excited) and I am really looking forward to the fireworks.

Makes for a perfect first day.

This is why I love Disney so much, they take such good care of their travelers.

:thumbsup2

Thanks also from me! I used that 800 number and got directily through right away and the man couldn't have been nicer. We are now having dinner at Le Cellier and I basically had my choice of times. Last week I had called to re-schedule my Teppanyaki for Sept 11 and all I could get at a decent time was Marrakesh. So thank you..i just figured I wouldn't be able to change it since I had already cancelled but he had it all in the computer. I also got the VIP seating for Illuminations! He told me it was between Canada and the UK. Gotta love the Dis members!!!

I was able to get the VIP viewing added to my Chefs de France that I had booked as a backup last week. As a bonus, I had originally booked Teppanyaki for Sept 30 before I decided to do MNSSHP that night. I had not gotten around to cancelling so I asked if they were able to get me in any MK restaurants and he booked me for 4:35 at Tony's Town Square. That will work out perfect with the party.:cool1:

A few months back when I made our Teppanyaki ADRs, I was trying to cram a meal at LeCellier in as well and was able to get dinner at Teppanyaki and lunch at LeCellier. I was about to cancel LeCellier the other week when I originally heard that Tep would be open right before we got to WDW but thank goodness I didn't!

I'll have to call about that VIP seating.

I think the normal, part of a packege type of VIP seating is over near the boat dock. I think to accommodate all the people displace by Teppanyaki they've created a new, temporary area. I think they'll be roping off an area where Future World and WorldShowcase meet. I was told I'd be given passes or vouchers during dinner to be let behind the ropes.
