Cancelled room refund

Clarification: there is no difference in the speed with which one's refund is processed by a combination of the vendor Disney - and one's bank, package or room-only. Remember, this thread is specific to refunds, not reservations.

No clue what this has to do with the speed of which the refund shows up. That's all that's being talked about here. No one is discussing the difference between packages and room only as a whole.

I have another question (I have a lot of different trips planned)

So I have a trip planned for a weekend and I’ve paid off the room in full. My parents now want to go with us this weekend and have a four night stay with Marriott booked basically for free and want me to cancel our room and stay with them. I’m a little sad to do this since I was really looking forward to this room, but it would save a lot of money. I’ve never cancelled a room I’ve paid in full before. Will I get all my money back? The room was expensive since it was club level so I want to make sure I’d get everything back before I cancel

Yes more than five days the room is for May, I just wasn’t sure if me paying off the room in full would change anything
