Cancelled Rented Points Reservation Question

A belated update...3 weeks out they still had not removed me. I basically said remove me or I will look into state data privacy laws. They immediately removed me and the confirmed reservation disappeared.

All I wanted was my info removed from a canceled reservation. I still rented part of my trip from them. But as someone who rents points for $10 k a year...was this worth them losing a customer?

It’s crazy that you had to threaten to look into the law before they’d get the owner to change the name, or whatever they did. Once you cancelled, the reservation wasn’t yours anymore, it belonged to the owner again, at least as far as DVC and Disney Resorts were concerned. Hopefully I won’t have to rent out any points in future, but if I do I think I’ll post them here on DISboards.
