Cancelled our summer trip

Well, we decided to cancel our upcoming trip.

1. We were just at WDW in April (not at the Fort, though) and had a blast, I think we're all still basking in the afterglow and aren't really ready for a return trip yet.

2. The idea of the summer heat has been getting me nervous about how much we'd enjoy it anyway. We did a summer trip to the midwest 3 years ago and a portion of our trip was during a heat wave...I recall a lot of sitting around in our A/C, which is what I anticipate it might be like again.

3. We've decided to look for a new house with a bit more room (and a nice big side yard so our Winnie can live at home with us!) so we really should be using vacation time to rent a dumpster and do some serious purging.

The Fort will just have to wait for us for a while longer...I'm a little sad about not going to the Fort, but happy with the decision and the direction we're headed

Sorry you won't make it to the Fort this summer. But looking at your signature, KU, Bonnet Creek this past March was not "slumming it".

Good luck on the new domicile. Me and DW are kinda in the market too although it might take 12 months.

Thanks Ed, yeah Bonnet Creek sure was nice! We really liked it and will return. Not the same as the Fort with our own camper, but a very close second!

And good luck to you too..we were also "kinda" in the market, just checking to see what was out there - and here we are a couple of weeks later getting ready to make an offer and freaking out about getting our current house show-ready! Come to think of it, that's how we bought the Winnie as well...just poking around at what was out there in preparation for a year or so down the road, then the next thing I know we're driving away in it!

On a side note, Ed commented about something in your signature and when I read the post there was NO signature. I was thinking that maybe you had deleted it from the time Ed commented on it and I had read it. Nope.... Apparently you can't see the signature unless you are logged in. (and somehow I had gotten loged out.)

Sorry about your cancellation, but, I'm with you in the search for a home. Our coach is exactly 22' from our front porch and it put things in a whole different perspective.
Being able to prep and load at my leisure, and nothing beats backing in as late as I won't, plug in and go in the house.
Keep us updated, and you'll still have trip reports to enjoy
