Our 4th of July trip was with my in-laws. Granted parks will likely be open at some sort of capacity by then but we were a little uneasy with taking seniors to a very populated area, so we cancelled and rescheduled for November. My family has AP we need to activate so no problem there.

I bought my in-laws their date based tickets. If I were to change their tickets now it would cost an additional $170. But if the parks are still closed 7/2 (the date the tickets start) then i would be able to change at no additional cost. So i will wait to change them. Just in case anyone is in the same boat it might be helpful to wait to change your tickets if you are changing your trip dates.

I am sad to give up our Poly stay but actually excited to try a new resort - a 2BR at OKW!

Thank you! I have a May trip that moved to October and I didn’t yet change the tickets,

But, now I will wait!

We have the same exact situation and we canceled as well. We also have AP's and we were suppose to arrive July 6th also with in-laws. Bought their dated tickets as well and I didn't know that about the tickets if the parks were to remain closed at that point. That's great info to know! May I ask did you buy their tickets direct from Disney or 3rd party?

I bought through Undercover Tourist. I had contact UT and they emailed me options depending on my situation. Today was when I decided to cancel and reschedule and did a chat with WDW to see what my options were for the tickets. So if i read correctly, my 7/2 dated tickets need to be changed by 7/1 to a different date. We should know by then if they are open or not.

I never would have thought that Nov (I assume Thanksgiving) would have been more expensive than the 4th of July. Thanks for the info. Disney really needs to do away with this date based tickets, it's too confusing..

The Fall has gotten really expensive. It's not just Thanksgiving. There's the end of Food & Wine and the Wine & Dine Half Marathon at the beginning. There is Veteran's Day in there too, and I think New Jersey schools get a week Fall break at that time.

This is what I got from UT regarding my tickets... actually it was a very long email with lots of info.. just email them and you will get every situation.
If your start date is impacted by the closures, you do not need to do anything! Your start date will automatically be updated and valid for any start date prior to December 15, 2020.

Thanks for the heads up...we were scheduled to arrive 4/23, now hoping for 10/14!
