**CANCELLED** OKW 19th August meet

I've never been to OKW in August before but I used to see meets being organised with lots of folks going at the same time. don't tell me that now I am actually going in august that there won't be a meet?

We are staying offsite this year but if there is enough interest then I don't mind spending a few hours at OKW one evening.

I would love to go to a DIS meet. this is the first time that we've been in Aug. so I've never actually got to go to one before. We're staying at OKW from the 9th till the 30th.

We are in orlando 14-31 aug but we dont hit disney until 17th. I would love to shake waynes hand and buy him a drink as he has saved us a small fortune over our trips!

We're at OKW 25 aug - 8 sep so won't get to meet the legend that is Wayne!

I'm driving over from Tampa that morning so the evening would be fine for me. Like so many others I would love to meet Wayne!

Well as its your thread and at least 4 of us can potentially make evening of the 19th I suggest we go for that date.

DH won't join (he is socially awkward) he would not come down from our room at RPR to meet Wilma (Joh) and Stephensmum (Sharon) and their respective partners so I just went with my son! Although we bumped into each of them by the pool and in the bar and other times and he was perfectly at ease to socialise then.... he just does not like the whole 'organised meet up'

But I have a car this year so subject to tiredness will try to pop along.

Anyone that can't make the main meet I don't mind trying to meet up in a park earlier in our holiday.

I've amended the topic title to say we will go for a meet on the 19th. 7pm onwards in the gurgling suitcase area sounds good to start with. Depending on how many think they may come we may open up the one bedroom apartment we have as that will be near hospitality house.

So many options! So much fun to have meets!

we don't have flights or reservations or a schedule yet...

we have to be in the states for my nephew's wedding the weekend of sept 1, so we decided we'll aim for a cruise on august 18th ...
we haven't reserved that either..
we're waiting for after final payment in an attempt for a cheaper rate..
we'll go on whatever ship/cruise line has the best deal...
i decided i'll gamble for this one...keep your fingers crossed that it works out!!...
in any case we have to come in a few days before that to be sure we make it to florida in time..i figured we'll fly in around the 14th..
and of course, while we're waiting for the cruise, we'll get in a bit of WDW time..
