Just managed to rent out my dvc reservation for November. Sorry to cancel but realise it’s for the best. Happy to have those points used up. Dues won’t hurt so much this year now.

Now to decide if I cancel February. Probably will. Desperately hoping to return in October 2022.

Sorry you had to cancel but glad you were able to rent your points. I’m still cautiously optimistic about January. I can’t see this wave still being as bad in 4.5 months. I’m thinking it will peak at some point before then , but everything can be moved to another time if needed.

Seeing how the US is handling this thing, I don't blame you. I looked a couple days ago and they had 252,000 new cases that day and Canada had under 2,000. Given they have 8.7 times our population, I could see them having around 17,000 cases if they were on par with us - but 252,000? And they've had far better and earlier access to vaccines than we did. SMH

I know how you feel, we just cancelled our November trip as well. My last trip was supposed to be in the fall of 2019, but l found out l had colon cancer and had to have surgery and 6 month's of the worst chemo. We did have a couple of cruises booked for when the chemo was over but then covid came. All of my tests since then have been good just finishing a bunch this month and if those are good then l will be 2 years cancer free. And as much as that will be the best news, l still really need a vacation, but Disney is not the place for me right now. Maybe next year.

Glad to hear you are doing well. Hoping you get a much deserved vacation soon. Maybe not to Disney, but somewhere more suitable!

Hi Hon
I am so sorry you had to cancel but am happy your were able to recoup some of the fees.
I am in the same boat and was able to rent my Christmas reservation out. (Phew,, certainly helps with the fees).
For my Feb reservation I hope my son & daughter inlaw will be able to go but if not I'll just try to rent it out.
I have my fingers (and toes) crossed for Christmas break 2022 or Spring Break 2023.
Now I just need to get creative and plan something close to home that is fun & safe.

Hugs To You
Mel

We have a non disney timeshare in Cape Canaveral that we have to use in November or we lose it :( I was trying to remain hopeful about going but little more worried as each day passes. Well maybe immunity will be struck by Nov just due to number of people infected. I have no idea how to try to sell off this timeshare or I think I would bail now!

We have a trip booked in December to Orlando. Starting to have second thoughts, especially hearing of long waits at Pearson airport. The DW has a medical condition and would not do well in that situation.

Yes, we are pulling the plug on February too. My gut says things will not improve to my comfort level any time soon. I actually just cancelled a vacation to Newfoundland scheduled to begin Wednesday. Just feels like now is the time to stay put.

We cancelled WDW in November and changed to DLR. California is still worse than Canada for Covid cases, but no where the nightmare that is going on in Florida. I'm hoping things will improve everywhere before we go, but we shall wait and see.
