Cancelled - do I need to return Magic Bands?

I just cancelled our stay at PVB for Marathon weekend next month. DH is injured and had to defer his marathon entry. We already got our Magic Bands in the mail - do I need to mail them back or something? I know they are personalized, but it seems strange that they would let us keep them for free. Anyone know?

No need to mail them back. They're now associated with your account and can be used on future trips.

they can't be removed from your account and reassigned to anybody else, so you might as well keep them. You can use them on future trips.

If you just cancelled, technically you can't get your down payment back (circumstances non-withstanding, depending on who you talk to, been there done that believe me) so they're not free.

You can get the deposit back if it is a non DVC reservation and room only (not a package).
