Cancelled Borrowed Points

i'm sure someone has asked this before but can someone please confirm?

I had to just cancel a trip for Xmas at DLR for this year. I had borrowed points and so now they're falling into my June use for 2016.

When will those points 'expire?' i know i can't bank them again and so i wanted to know when I would have to take a trip before I would lose out.

They will be just like your regular 2016 points, expire on May 31, 2017

Don't forget to bank any regular 2016 points by the end of January if you don't need them. Remember, once banked, it is like when you borrow, you can't undo it. Hope you can book and use the borrowed points.

Any chance that you have another trip planned that uses regular 2016 points and you could swap them for the borrowed points, then bank the regular points?

We are going to Aulani over labor day which is why we wouldn't be trying to use these points. I can definitely ask as I honestly don't remember which year those points came from but I'm pretty sure 2016 points.

This may not be her exact scenario, but if she used 2016 points to book Aulani for Labor day, then borrowed 2017 points to reserve DLR for Christmas, and then later cancelled the DLR trip, is there any way to ensure that the Aulani trip uses the 2017 points instead, so that she can bank the 2016 points?
