Cancellation rules still the same?

I've been following a few threads about the new banking rules. In one post I noticed a brief mention that the cancellation rules might be changing.

Currently we can cancel up to 31 days prior to check-in date and get points put back into current UY - Does anyone know if this will be changing?

I haven't read anything about the cancellation rules changing. The rules that are changing are the banking rules -- no more 100%, 50%, 25% -- now it will be 100% until 4 months prior to expiration, and then no more banking.

The issue is, if you have to cancel in the last four months of your UY, it won't matter that the points go back in your account. You won't be able to bank them -- so if you can't reschedule your trip during that 4-month period, you're going to lose the points.
