Cancellation question

Hi all. Quick cancellation question. Book Oct trip with 2026 points. If I cancel before my banking deadline, can I still bank those points to 2027 or are they stuck for 2026 trips?

They go into the year they were booked...in this case 2026....but i found if you call member services they may help place them in 2027 if that's your goal....

If you booked your Oct 2026 trip with points that haven't already been banked, borrowed, or bought as OTUP, and you cancel before your banking deadline and more than 30 days before the trip starts, then you should be able to bank those points.

Thank you. I was hoping so. Haven’t booked the trip yet but was hesitant in case we end up cancelling.
