Cancellation policy for upcoming reservation

I should know this, we’ve only been members since 2000 and I read the guidelines but am still confused.... We have a reservation for 2/1 at BWV using our 2020 October use year points. Nothing borrowed. If we decide to cancel what is the penalty or how does that work with our points?

If you are not past your banking deadline, you can bank them into 2021. If you are past banking deadline they would have to be used before October.

Normally, canceling less than 31 days out would result in a holding penalty. However, DVC is waiving that right now.

So, as long as you cancel prior to the day of check in, the points go back in the same status as you used them,

Since October 2020 UY points are still within the banking window, you can bank for use in your October 2021 UY.
