Cancellation policy for a package

How long before arrival can I cancel our vacation package for a disney resort/tickets? Also, if I make reservations for parks with our tickets, does that mean I can cancel them with the package as well and not be penalized or given a credit as opposed to a refund if I cancel in time? We only put $200 down for the package and I believe the full payment is due 30 days before arrival?

Package cancellation terms kick-in 30 days prior to check-in. Up until that point you can change or cancel without penalty. After that point, changes may I cur a $50 change fee and cancellation forfeits the $200 deposit.

Theme park reservations don't immediately cancel, but if you no longer have valid tickets on you MDE the theme park reservations will eventually cancel off. No penalty.

This is for room only reservations - not room + ticket vacation packages

From another post, it seems you had a room-only reservation at one time. The 5-days is the terms for a room-only. Since you cancelled the room-only and now have a package booked, the terms are 30-days. As you are finding, there are pros and cons to both booking options.

I'll add one thing to lanejudy's post, no refund if cancelled within 2 days of arrival. For packages...

• 30 days or more - full refund
• 29-3 days - $200 cancellation fee
• 2 days or less - no refund
