cancellation notices

Got 3 e-mails the other day, from Disney, cancelling my dinner reservations (5/10, 5/12, and 5/13) for our upcoming May trip. Strangely enough, they did not cancel my resort reservation. Any idea why?

DVC is on a different timetable than parks and resorts.

DVC is apparently cancelling on a week by week basis. Cancellation work done M-F.

They will cancel your room about 7 days prior to your stay. They first took our fast passes( we had some good ones), then a week later the ADR’s, then about 7 days out the reservation.

should I hold out hope that dvc will be opened by my 5/10 reservation (fat chance)? Why do the restaurants foresee, but dvc doesn't? Doesn't dvc care about their members? I feel like I'm in limbo.

Based on reports from News 13 Orlando and discussions on various boards, it seems as though the earliest reopening date would be June 15th, however, insiders are reporting July 5th, to avoid 4th of July holiday crowds.

Its not that they don’t care, they are just on a different schedule for getting the cancellations done.

They stated they will go week to week, Parks and Resorts are Simply a. Few weeks ahead in their cancellations.
