Cancellation confusion...

I have a 1 night reservation for a studio at the poly on August 1st. (Moving to beach club after). Is there a penalty for canceling other than having my points returned to original use year? I am more than 30 days out

If you banked or borrowed those points, they remain in the UY your reservation is in, not their original UY.

No, there's no penalty as long as you're 31 days out.
