Canceling ME

I think I have decided to go with a rental car instead of using ME. It is on our reservation and I have the vouchers already. Should I call ME to cancel?

No need to cancel as you are not being "greeted" at the airport or have reserved seats on any particular bus.

This will probably get me flamed but you might still use the yellow luggage tags to get direct to room luggage delivery. I've done so in the past while renting a car and it is nice to just walk directly to National Emerald Aisle without waiting at the carousel first.

Unless the airline loses or misdirects your luggage your luggage. Then you could have a serious problem. Most people don't think about that, but my husband has terrible luck with misdirected luggage. He's flown 3 times and his luggage has been misdirected twice. I don't turn over my luggage unless
I know that someone (either myself or DME) will be taking responsibility for it.

Won't get you flamed, but.....there is a particular thread for this discussion. It is not Disney's intent to use DME as a luggage delivery service. It is a people transportation service, with luggage delivery as an added perk. If the airline misdirects your bag, you are going to have a serious issue if you tag your bags and then rent a car!!!
