What exactly can those points be used for? I know that they are out of the "DVC" system of resorts. Can they be used in RCI or Adventures? Just trying to look at options if we have to cancel. How do I figure out the expiration of these points?

Thanks so much!

Disney Collection cancel info from member website:
Returned Reservation Points will be deposited in to the Use Year in which the cancelled reservation falls. Returned Reservation Points may not be used for Disney Vacation Club Resort reservations or for World Passport Collection exchanges and will expire at the end of your Use Year. Returned Reservation Points cannot be banked.

No RCI as it's part of the World Passport Collection.

Reservation Points may be used for the non-DVC options (excluding World Passport - since that still involves using the points for a DVC reservation to exchange). They can be used for Disney Collection stays (Cruise, WDW/DL Resorts), Concierge Collection and Adventurers Collection. Note that the restriction regarding making/using non-DVC reservations during your last 4 months of the Use Year does NOT apply with Reservation Points since they have already been committed to that use. Another $95 reservation fee will apply to any new reservations made using Reservation Points.

As noted, Reservation Points will expire at the end of their Use Year and cannot be banked. I believe they can be transferred (if they had not previosuly been banked points), but will still retain their Reservation status and expiration date - so they are certainly considered distressed points when placing a value on them.
