Cancel window reservations dinner?

so what is the actual window to cancel dinner reservations,incl. prepaid like the dessert party? is it 24 hours?

It will say it before you make the reservation. Last dining reservations I made were 24hrs and the WOC dessert party was 24hrs as well.

thanks- I found a link that said one day, so they mean 24 hours? Are they sticklers? like right to the hour?

It used to say "by 11:59 pm" on the Disneyland website, but they removed that language several years ago. More recently, when I asked, I got several different answer depending on the CM I spoke with, so I don't think anyone really knows for sure. I've been told that "one day" could mean:
1) by 11:59 pm the day before the reservation (e.g., so by 11:59 pm on Monday for a Tuesday reservation),
2) 24-hours before the reservation (e.g., so by 11:30 am on Monday for a 11:30 am Tuesday reservation), or
3) a full day before (e.g., so by 11:59 pm Sunday for a Tuesday reservation)

I think it mostly likely means either anytime the day before, but to be safe, I would try to cancel at least 24-hours in advance.

And to add to the above, I have also heard that one day in advance. Meaning if your reservation is for Friday you must cancel no later than Thursday. Not necessary 24 hours, just by the end of the day Thursday. Keep in mind this is third hand information.

For me, I would cancel as soon as I knew I would not need the reservation.

A few special events require cancellation more than 24 hours in advance, e.g. Thanksgiving Buffet at the DLH. Always check when making a reservation just to be safe.
