:( after waiting over a year we need to reschedule our trip booked thru dcl need to change from april 2003 to april 2004 and change from a 4 day to 7 day can they transfer my deposit my amount total due is not till feb 2 2003 pay off wil li be able to do this with no hassle?

hi - there should be no problem w/changing your dates - but you may have to pay a change fee - but i would definately call dcl and check before you change - use your phone call as a general question - don't tell them that you already have a reservation - just ask if there would be any problem if you had a reservation and then had to change - if they say that there's no cost to change - change right there - if they say that there is - wait a couple of days - call again & see - sometimes it helps to have a sympathetic cm & you may not get that on the first try

there was so much controversy about the change fees - but when my mother got sick (really sick) - disney & dcl didn't charge me any fees -

but the flights were a different story - disney & dcl were so nice - especially since we were still going - only rescheduling - continental on the other hand didn't care - they just took my money - and the change fees - and we still lost our tickets -

good luck

I thought you could cancel at any time without any fees, as long as it was before the 60 day time period. Now they charge fees?
Please inform me of this as I think I have to reschedule my cruise also.

Thanks
Joanna

Huckster I canceled my May 2002 reservation and transfered it to May 2003. But I did the same cruise ship. You may have to pay the extra reservation charge. If I am not wrong a 7 day is 250 to reserve each person. Someone quote me if I am wrong.
They did not charge me anything extra at the time, I don't know if this has changed.
Good Luck

Since you have not made final payment, you can cancel your 4 day cruise and then book your seven day cruise. Your deposit will probably be more for a seven day cruise. There should not be any penalties at this time.

Who did you book the cruise through? If you booked thru a TA, they should be able to handle this for you and answer all your questions.

Although DreamsUnlimited Travel and DCL do not charge cancellation fees, some TA's including online agents, do. You need to check with your TA if you used one regarding their policies.

If you booked through DVC, which I do not think you did since they can only book 11 months out, you would need to pay an additional $75 booking fee if you were to change.

Good luck!

Maybe I'm missing something, but I'm sure that if you booked directly through dcl, you can get 100% back before 60 days. If there was some kind of a "transfer fee" then just cancel the reservation and make a whole new one.
