cancel dining / dining plan cost

i have been searching for a while and i can't find the answer to these 2 questions. i'd appreciate some help.

first, our trip is booked for oct 29-nov 5. i was quoted the rate of $47 per day for the ddp when i booked with disney. but when i looked up the rates, that is the peak rate and i don't think our dates are during the peak time.

second, after reading more about the plan and doing some math, i'm not entirely sure the plan saves us money now that the app and gratuity isn't included. if i want to cancel the plan, do i get charged a fee?

You can make changes prior to 45 days before your check in date with no penalties.

$47.99 per guest 10 and older and
$12.99 per child 3-9 years old

$41.99 per guest 10 and older and
$11.99 per child 3-9 years old
