What happens if you end up cancelling the credit card that you used to guarantee your ADRs? I am thinking of cancelling the card I used because I want to re-apply to take advantage of a promo they are currently offering, but I am wondering if this will affect the reservations I already have made. Will their system alert them that the card has been cancelled and then cancel my reservations?

I dont think anything happens...I'm pretty sure I got a new card in between when I made the reservation and when we actually went and had no problems.

No. We had a CC flagged for fraud and cancelled which resulted in me freaking out about my ADRs. I called Dining and they told me not to worry about it. We had no issues getting to those ADRs.

Had the same experience as PP. Our card was cancelled for fraud and I did nothing to update the ADRs that were made with the prior card number. We did show up to all ADRs though, so I'm not sure what would have happened if they tried to charge us the no show fee.

Nothing happens since they are just going to make sure it is a valid cc number. If you don't shoe for a reservation they will try to charge the card but other then that they don't do anything.

That's a relief to hear. I just got a new card due to fraud and old one is cancelled. Didn't even occur to me it might affect ADRs. Glad it doesn't!

I switched the card I had on file and had initially used to make ADR's. No issues with them so far this week.

My credit card on file expired over a year ago and I've had no issue making, canceling, or utilizing my ressies

the new loophole: make 8 ADRs a day and then cancel the card. This way when you show up, you can choose where you want to eat and not incur any penalties for missing the others!

I had a cancelled card as my "saved" card for quite some time. We show up to our res so I didn't feel guilty about it. Just too lazy to log into the system and change it.

I know your reply was tongue-in-cheek, but don't assume that charges on a canceled card never go through. Some banks seem to know when a charge is "legit" and may put the charge through and bill you. Disputing a charge like this could be awkward.
