Here's the senario. I've got the first 3 days at Swan, the last 3 at Dolphin and the middle 2 at AllStar. Those 2 in the middle aren't available at all let alone at the Teacher's Rate. Someone suggested talking with a desk clerk at S/D during the first 3 days to see if something becomes available, apparently such stuff happens. If so, wouldn't I forefit the deposit on the AllStar because S/D aren't 'official' WDW resorts? Could it possibly be that it would be treated like an upgrade from AllStar to Poly? Might CRO let me off the hook since I'm still staying @ Disney and giving Walt access to my wallet?

Thanks,

If you cancel All Star inside 5 days you'll probably lose your deposit.

You will be subject to the cancellation rules if you give up your AS rooms. I don't believe anyone is let "off the hook". As you say, you can try for additional nights at the S/D but if that isn't going to happen, make sure you have a Plan B for those 2 nights.
Depending on the season, it may be difficult to secure a room with short notice on site. Next time you might try to stay at the S/D for the full trip--sounds like a lot of packing and re-packing to me.
Good Luck with your trip. :cool1:

Yep they will most defiintely take your deposit, because just like you said S/D are not owned by Disney. I would keep what you have, since it will cost so much more to stay for those two nights at a different Epcot area resort. Save the $$ and just go to All Star! Edited: I saw when you were going so I deleted some info that pertains to the end of jan.

If you booked room-only, you would only lose your deposit if you cancel less than 6 days before arrival.

Thanks, everyone, just looking for loopholes! If this happens at all I'll have to make my move a day or two before New Year's Eve, so there's still time.

I've got the loophole!
Just rebook your ressie at allstars for another time, and they'll carry it over. They even let us then change to a mod and carry it over to that, when an AP rate came out. You'll have an excuse to go back.

I was just going to suggest that.

But the question is, will they charge a fee if you CHANGE your ressie within 48hrs of check-in?
