This whole thread was about the soccer team not the NHL. Others brought up the NHL. I'm not trying to insult Canadians but your hockey teams haven't had that much success overall. Granted, the American teams success in the NHL is more due to Canadian players on those teams than American players. And by the way, I often try to get Canadians to support their local soccer teams on this board. I respect Canada and I enjoy our sports rivalry in general.
I was at last night's game in Montreal. Good effort by Canada, just couldn't find the back of the net. Australian keeper definitely saved the Aussies and a lucky goal. Great atmosphere at Saputo Stadium.
