Canadians Traveling to the USA in 2025

Does anyone know if tariffs apply on what would, in normal times, be duty free items? There are a couple of Disney loving senior citizens at my church who can no longer travel, so I always bring back some Disney edibles for them as a treat.
When I read the bold part I was wondering what pavilion was selling edibles....ROFLOL...plus even though they are not tariffed I don't think bringing edibles one way or the other is good. Good on the seniors....lol

Just don't forget that a lot of us are making some huge* sacrifices so you can get those good deals. And yes. We also love Disney and hate that we had to cancel our June trip. I say *huge but honestly that's a stretch lol.

A very modest I'm not going to die sacrifice but feel good being able to make some minor recripcol economic punishment that I know that some in the auto sector here will face. Will be a pretty crappy spring and summer and more for them. Least I can do.

How about Japan? We were just at Tokyo Disney and Universal Osaka last month and we all agreed it was our best trip ever! Very friendly, super safe and (except for the flights) much cheaper with Cdn money. The only downside is that my family liked the Japanese parks so much more that going back to the American ones will be a major downgrade.
I have to agree with you. The cost difference just boggles the mind. Hong Kong Disney was a little more. And have to say some of the Hong Kong and Tokyo only rides make it so awesome. Depending on when you go hotels for triple rooms can be around 150 with breakfast in Tokyo as long as you book right when they open.

OK, I admit I could have worded that sentence better. I actually bring back some Mickey Mouse cookies, and some of the Mickey shaped coconut thingamabobs dipped in chocolate.

Interestingly, I know of at least two women in my congregation, aged 80+, who take cannabis in some form (liquid, I think) as a treatment for arthritis. Both say the treatment is very effective.

This mom/grandma uses the Cannabis skin cream for a torn rotator cuff pain and it really works.

I posted in a previous thread that I would allow temporary discussions about how the current environment impacts decisions on traveling to Walt Disney World and Disneyland. First, I apologize to the OP for the derailment. I meant well, but it did not work.

This is the ONLY thread dedicated to Canadian residents, and it is the only place where members can discuss this topic openly and without personal attacks on other members.

I will personally monitor and respond to reports.

I wanted to post my thoughts on this topic. As a DVC member who used points and Air Miles for this upcoming trip, we decided to go since it would be a loss to not. This trip was booked in November. As a Canadian, I am deeply hurt by the events and I don't think the trust will ever be the same. I know many Americans are supporting us fully. My beef is with the government. Our sovereignty is being threatened and this does not sit well with me. I have made many changes by buying Canadian and avoiding American products as much as possible. I will be spending my $ overseas and booked a trip to Fiji. As for DVC, we are putting future trips on hold.
