Canadians getting a Professional Internship?

Hello!

I just completed the Disney ICP Summer program and has an amazing time. I am a business student and I am looking into a Professional Internship. Has anyone done a Business Internship? Can Canadians apply and get a Professional Internship? I would love to eventually move down to Florida and work for Disney.

All Disney Professional Internships Program opportunities require unlimited authorization to work in the United States. This includes, but is not limited to:

• U.S. Citizens and Nationals
• Legal Permanent Residents ("Green Card" Holders)
• Holders of select Work and/or Residence Visas
• Residents of Canada holding the status of "American Indian", as defined in the Treaty of Amity, Commerce and Navigation ("Jay's Treaty") signed between the Kingdom of Great Britain (superceded in this regard by Canada) and the United States of America in 1796 and Section 289 of the U.S. Immigration and Nationality Act.
  • Persons holding "American Indian" status may or may not necessarily be Status Indians as defined in the Canadian Indian Act/Loi sur les Indiens.

Walt Disney Parks and Resorts U.S., Inc. will not sponsor work visas for those applicants who do not already hold an appropriate status.

So if I get a work visa I would be able to get an internship? That makes sense.

I looked at the applications under the internships and it asks if you are from Canada or the USA.

If you're looking at the internships posted on DisneyCareers.com, that's because the Company can and does sponsor work visas for other positions listed on that site. It does not apply to Disney Professional Internships Program positions.
