Looking for the best place to get my tickets to Universal. We are booking things seperatley, I found our hotel at a fair price in Canadian funds. Now I'm trying to figure out tickets.

So far if my currency converter is close UT has the best price even after exchange.

When I look into other sites CAA, Expedia, Airmiles etc that have Canadian prices they still come as $500 or more total than UT.

Is this accurate or am I doing something wrong? I'd prefer Canadian funds for the ease, but obviously would rather a lower cost.

I'm getting my tickets through Air Miles so I can't help you there. From looking in the past, I always found UT had the best price as well.

Who did you book your hotel with? I keep checking and it Universal keeps coming up with the best price for me. (Cabana Bay Beach Resort).

I almost always buy through UT...you can also check Visit Orlando. Sometimes they offer an extra discount that puts them slightly cheaper.

The Stay More Save More rate definitely increases your chances of getting a great price through Universal (or Loews).

I got mine for last summer through UT. I looked through various sites but it was the winner for me. But, I was only getting a 2-day single park.

With the Stay more Save more and current exchange the price is actually working the same. I have the PC optimum card and through PC travel the hotel was coming up around $1300CA (also Cabana Bay) for my dates. Plus I get the few points and lack of exchange fees if I book through them.

Thanks, I will keep watching UT. We are not going until August, so I will wait for some of the 2+2 or similar promotions to be released for my dates before grabbing them.

Their big coaster is opening next spring/summer, so don't expect a ton of ticket discounts as you get closer to the date. They will not be needing to discount tickets to get people to visit with the looks of the ride so far.

Good to know, thank you. My budget is set for a 4 day park to park. Just be nice if there were a discount as most prefer lol.

If you are going in August, you might want to consider the Season pass. It is cheaper than the 4 day ticket and will also get you Annual pass room rates.

Seasonal pass: $284.99
4 day ticket: $299.99

I did extensive price checking before our trip to Universal last spring. Undercover Tourist was definitely the best pricing. We bought tickets through UT, then upgraded to Seasonal Passes when we go there because like Damo mentioned, we were able to get Annual Passholder room rates which was quite a savings.

Oh no another option to research:scared::headache:

Of course it its going to save me money I will do the work. Is the pass option available online, at any time or a certain point to book for next summer?

How does that work to look into what a room discount would be?

Room discounts for August won't be up until spring. However, you can book a room at any time and then if a discount comes up, you can just call and have the rate changed. Here is a thread to follow... It gives a link in the first post that automatically gives the aph rate. You just need to put in the dates. If it says, "No Annual Pass rates available", that usually means they haven't been released yet. I would experiment with the site and rates (right now they are available to end of December, I think) to get the knack of how it all works and what the typical discounts are. Discounts are greater during low crowd times.

You can look at pass options here...

Visit Orlando offers a 5% discount during a Black Friday sale. I bought mine through them and it came up cheaper than UT at the time. Worth checking out in November. They offer a lot of good discounts for Canadians.

I always buy my Disney tickets through UT, but for most trips Universal themselves have had deals available that aren't available through the ticket reseller channels. Unlike Disney, Universal does not charge outrageous shipping charges either. But, if Universal does not have any current deals on, I buy their tickets from UT as it is otherwise almost always the cheapest option with fast free shipping.

I’m planning a visit in May. Hoping to get a Canadian offer. I registered for their email. Considering a 3 park seasonal pass too. I don’t think their May promos come out till January so I’m watching and waiting. We plan on 7 full days there incl 2 days that are travel days, so total of 9 days. Want to do a relaxing visit rather than parks open to close.
I wish they gave you more than 7 days to use a 5 day park to park. So thinking season pass may be the way to go.

UT is great. I have used them before. Don’t forget the price you see on main page is the total. Some companies don’t add taxes until you check out.

Not sure what kind of Canadian offer you are looking for but they don't give Canadian offers for tickets and their one Canadian package that I saw really wasn't anything to hold your breath for.

I’m not sure, my name is on email list and I noticed last year Canadian offers but didn’t pay attention because I had no Universal trip planned. A few years ago we went to Universal and got a Canadian ticket offer. It was discounted but don’t recall details.
