Hello everyonee. I was interested in taking my family , wife, 2 kids, 11 & 7 To Canada but I have no clue where would be good nor do I have a clue what to do. I went to a website for Toronto but felt just like some of the state websites overwhelmed. Can anyone help with ideas. I want to drive up from jersey and be somewhat close to Niagara falls. Thanks in advance.

Niagara Falls sounds like a good place to start! Tons to do in that area.

Here's a good tourism website for the Niagara area on the Canadian side:

http://www.niagaraparks.com/plan/

What kinds of things do you and your family want to do? Parks and natural places with outdoor activities? Zoos and museums? Sports-related stuff? Shopping in the big city?

Here's what I would do. Go to Niagara Falls first. Get an Adventure Pass online before you come. You can also get a Clifton Hill pass which gives you some of the best attractions at a discounted rate. Move on to Toronto. Buy a City Pass. They sell them online. I've seen the online at Costco too. There are so many activities to do and it's a great price. It will keep you busy and give you all the best things to do in the city. Fill in any gaps in time with a stroll through Eatons Centre, dinner in China Town or an afternoon at Center Island.

hamilton is close to niagra falls and plenty to do here without all the traffic hassles of toronto, dundurn castle is a great place to tour , wild water works lots of fun for the kids, royal botanical gardens just to name a few, Hamilton is a great place to check out! Any other questions feel free to pm me!:thumbsup2

If you weren't from Hamilton you wouldn't go there. It's the place you drive past on the way to T.O....no offense

I grew up near Hamilton and I understand that the poster loves her city - for very good reason!

However I have to agree that for the US tourist, Toronto would be a much better match. Check out the Toronto Zoo. :thumbsup2

:thumbsup2 I agree and I use to live there. While those were all good suggestions, I wouldn't go there on vacation:rotfl2:

There is Niagra on the Lake for a night or two.

What time of year were you planning on visiting? What do you and your family like to do? I'm a big fan of Ontario's provincial parks. www.ontarioparks.com So much to do, no matter what time of year!
