Canadian Tickets- expiry

I checked last night, and Disneyland site confirms that expiration of the Canadian Resident Tickets has been extended to December 2022. However, when I checked my ticket in the app, I still can't make park reservations past 16 December 2021.

I will jump on chat this weekend to try and sort it out. It may be a technical glitch. I tried to delete the app and reinstall it, but that didn't work. There's no way to check the expiration date of a ticket associated with you account except through the app (so far as I know anyway).

I went back to the official Disneyland site and under "Theme Park Reservation System" saw the following

· If you purchased a promotional 2020 Canada Resident Ticket or Australia/New Zealand Resident Ticket, and have not used it, the expiration date will be extended through December 15, 2022, and the ticket will expire 13 days after first use or December 15, 2022, whichever occurs first. Guests who made their first visit between February 28 and March 13, 2020, but did not reach their ticket’s maximum number of uses, will have the 13-day expiration period of their promotional tickets extended to December 15, 2022.

· Expiration dates on eligible 2020 Canada Resident Tickets and Australia/New Zealand Resident Tickets will be updated and visible online via your Disney account prior to December 16, 2021.

So I guess they haven't yet updated all the Canada Resident Tickets yet, but are expecting to by 16 December 2021.

Wow,,,so sorry to hear the exact oppisite of our experience. Have you tried calling back and getting a different cast member? I know if I had your response I wpuld feel the same way you did. Cant sqy its because we are DVC and you were booking cash,,because we didnt call the dvc line,,just called the 1888 number people have put on here.
Hope if you call back you get a much better reaction.
Again, very glad stuff worked out for you

Wound up spending many hours on the phone (literally more than 6+ hours of long distance between the frequent phone dropoffs (their side not ours) and actually engaging a live human) on the phone in August 2021 to get either a confirmation that 2030 was still good or a refund. We got a refund EVENTUALLY but the interaction was horrible and there was no way a service based company would view this as an acceptable response at all.

The rep confirmed that they saw we had contacted them twice in 2020 and both times they confirmed they saw the 2030 date as being confirmed as the new expiry date and they still wouldn't honour it. Had Dec 2022 expiry been an option we'd have been fine but that was not an option offered for us to keep our park ressies for March 2022. At some point it's not worth it anymore and we decided that if they don't want us we won't spend our dollars there --- that's fine. Saves us tons and ensures they don't have to deal with annoying Canadian ticket buyers. Win-win for all.

I'm soooooo glad that they extended the DL Canadian tickets. My 7 tickets being extended just saved me quite a few bucks. However, One of my daughters was on a kids ticket but will now need an adult ticket when we go. Anyone know what to do with this?

Have you entered them in the app? My understanding is that you may be able to upgrade it and pay the difference once linked in the DL app. You may want to do a chat with DL to find out for sure

I thought I saw somewhere that if you child aged up because of COVID shutdowns, it was OK to still use the child ticket (they would have been 9 when using the ticket if it weren't for COVID).

This would be sweet!!! Anyone know if this is true or where I might find information about this?

Quick question about the 1-888 number referenced a few posts back… does that work for WDW or just DLR?

Confirmed yesterday that DL Canadian Resident tickets have had their expiry extended into 2022! I was able to access the Park Reservation calendar when it had been greyed out before. Now I am set if ABD decides to cancel our February SoCal & DL adventure.
