Canadian Special Character Meal Tip

Just got back this week from WDW. We used the special Companion Offer, which we bought through the Flight Centre (which uses World of Vacations as the wholesaler). As we've discussed on this board, there was supposed to be a free character meal at either O'Hana, Garden Grille, Breakfastosaurus, or H&V.

Here's my first tip... Make sure you ask for the breakfast voucher when you exchange your voucher for park hoppers. We exchanged ours at Guest Services at MGM and they were completely unaware that there was supposed to be a character breakfast included. But once the CM looked it up on the computer, it showed up and we received vouchers.

Here's the best thing: The voucher we received was good for pretty much any breakfast (character and non-character) on Disney property. We could have eaten at any resort or any restaurant in a Theme park or at DD. We ended up trying 1900 Park Fare because we've always wanted to visit the GF.

We've got no idea if we were supposed to get this particular voucher or not, but enjoyed it thoroughly all the same!

Thanks for the tips tfolk. We will be using the same deal in January. It was very interesting to hear you were able to use any breakfast. This may change a plan or two for us.
Your first tip was not surprising. Disney must have a pile of special offers for the CM to not know of the special deals. We exchanged our 'buy one, get 2nd half price' vouchers at MGM in Jan. 2000, and we had to wait about 20 minutes for the CM to confirm with the manager that this was a valid offer.
