Canadian resident ticket-adding a day?

I'm going to post this in the Canadian forum but I thought I'd try here as well. I've already purchased a 3 day Canadian resident ticket and now we've decided to add a day. I called this evening and spoke to a ticketing CM who said it's not possible to add a day over the phone and that I'd have to do it at the ticket booth upon arrival. We aren't going till August but the discount expires tomorrow so I wanted to add the day before that. Anyone have any recent experience with this? Should I call back and try a different CM or is it actually not a thing to upgrade over the phone? I had no problems adding days to my WDW ticket last year. I realize they're different but I thought they'd be able to add days at DLR too?

Can you talk to a cast member over the phone and ask about cancelling your current passes and using that credit to purchase the 4 day pass?

Also.. this is super random but I'm going to DL in August, I am from BC, also 45, and you have the same bday as my husband.

Are you me? Lol

In 2016 we wanted to add a day to the tickets. Waited until we got there to do it and the price difference was basically as if we were purchasing a separate one day ticket. Luckily we got some pixie dust and they comp’d us but I would be pretty wary about waiting based on that experience.

Yeah someone else suggested that too but I didn’t think DLR would let me do that? I know they will at WDW but DLR seems to work differently. Might be worth one more phone call to double check before the sale expires. Otherwise I guess I’ll just add the day when we get there.

Haha that’s hilarious. I’m positive I’m not you! Funny coincidence though! :rotfl:

That’s my concern...but my own fault I guess. I thought about just purchasing a 4 day right from the start and I should have just done it.

This question has come up the past few years with the Canadian offer and I think I read that a few people did get lucky - but that the official response from Disney was that if you wish to add a day to your Canadian discounted ticket then you loose the discount. Apparently that is also why you have to buy them before you get to the park and cannot buy them at the ticket booth, mind you yesterday was the last day to buy them anyway....

You can always try - you never know!
