Hi!

I wanted to jump on the bandwagon and introduce myself as I've been lurking for a bit to start planning our September 2010 Disney/Universal vacation.

This is my first trip planning on my own after years of just tagging along with the family (my mom is Damo and has been a member here for quite a while!), and I am definitely more knowledgeable about Universal, but have already learned so much about Disney planning since joining the DIS!

My DBF (25 yrs old) and I (23 yrs old) will be traveling from Toronto, Ontario to Orlando from September 10-19th, and staying at Pop Century from the 10th to the 14th (hoping for free dining!).

I'll post my planned ADRs in the near-ish future and would love any suggestions for our trip! It is DBF's first time doing all of Disney (we did the Pirate & Princess Party a couple years back during a trip to Universal and gave him a taste of it!) and although he is happy to sit back and let me do all the planning, is just as excited as I am to go! Can't wait for all your tips and suggestions!

Welcome from a fellow Canadian!!! ... we know your Mom well :thumbsup2

My DH and I go down twice a year in May and October (usually stay at Pop as well) and always split our time between US and WDW, so if you have any questions, just ask.

All I can say right now about your dates is too bad you'll be missing HHN :rolleyes1

Thanks to both of you for the warm welcomes! I feel like I have a good handle on Universal planning but had no idea about all of the 180+10 ADR craziness until just recently on the Disney side of things - it's been so long since I've been to Disney for longer than a day trip that I have a lot to learn!

Bienvenue, lildamo! Have fun planning!!

I know! That's what I love about US/IOA, none of the ADR chaos!! Unfortunately if you're taking advantage of free dining, you'll need to make those ADRs.

I think I've got the system all figured out - now we're just figuring out where we want to eat, without confirmed park hours no less! Either way, I love this kind of planning so all these details are getting me through the 7 month wait until we get to go! I'll have to post a pre-trip report to get feedback on our choices, US/IOA I know where I like to eat already but all I remember from the years of Disney is Teppan Edo!
