I have NEVER been so furious in all my life!!!! Canadians were so supportive to the Americans after 911. People opened up their homes to stranded 9/11 travellors, we sent emergency personnel and there were HUGE blood drives run by the Canadian Blood Services to help out.
And as a person who took the time to donate blood for their cause I take your post as being extremely insulting! How dare you! I have reported this post to the moderater and sincerely hope it gets deleted.

While I can certainly understand the outrage, why report the post to a moderator? The person involved expressed an opinion, just as the Canadian MP expressed an opinion.

Just to be clear, I want to thank you for your personal donation and thank you to Canada as a whole for everything after September 11th, 2001. I'm sure that the vast majority of Americans would do the same for Canada and we do appreciate it.

But, IMO, posts ought not be deleted merely because they contain opinions that many disagree with or even find offensive. If that were the case, most political threads would never get off the ground

Well if anyone thinks I'm jealous of America they are far off the mark! i wouldn't become an American citizen for all the money in the world!

No posts shouldn't be pulled just because someone has a differing opinion however if that post is insulting to a large amount of people on the board I think it should be pulled.

Wow, what a nasty thread on a website used for the greatest place on earth.

Like many of said here, most Canadians would not agree with the nasty comments one of our poicitians. I usually never agree with anything any politician has to say

I like my American brothers and sisters to the south, and I love visiting your country but I am a proud Canadian and am not jealous of your country...OK maybe Disney and Vegas....lol

Anyways, not sure really what i wanted to say just that we are all people sharing this world that we live in lets just accept each others differences and enjoy life. Once of my favorite mottos is "live and let live"
