Woohoo.....yes we are going back to the happiest place on earth, WDW:lovestruc

I should have started this pre-trip report earlier but unfortunately life gets in the way at times!

But I promise this will be a super pre-trip report with lots of pics!

So I have to say I am a bit of a control, organizational freak.....and DH thinks I am nuts. He actually thinks I'm nuts to want to go back to WDW again this year (men):confused3

So I actually booked this trip as soon as the Free Dining was announced because what a great deal that is! So I have been planning since then and I have consumed my time with it.

Please stick around for a great report:love:

MY ADR DAY

So I will start with The Cast! Its small but mighty......LOL

DD who is 6, the reason why we keep going back to WDW. She loves it there, can you blame her....LOL Our DD has a peanut allergy and our last trip to WDW was very successful, we made sure to make arrangements to see the chef at every meal and we never had a problem. I am hoping this years trip will go just as smoothly!
Here is a pic from our last years trip. It was at CRT with her fave princess, Aurora!

Now the pics of DH and I are not from our trip last year. DH has actually lost over 80lbs since our last trip and I have lost 13 lbs. We have really been trying to get extremely fit and healthy. Actually this trip will be challenging for us in terms of the meals.....hoping not to gain all that weight back...LOL So I will not post pics of us before but here are some pics from last month, we look much better....LOL

ME - what can I say about myself! I love Disney, I am a scrapbooker with an adventure for life and love to travel. DH and I are definately life in the moment people, do what you can do today b/c you never know if tomorrow will come!
So here is a pic of me and DD on our way to DH birthday dinner last month.

DH - here is the guy who doesn't understand the need to go to WDW every year, but he is sweet enough to have said yes these last few years!
He is an adventure seeker and a ATV and Harley rider. Always on the go!

Here is a pic of DH on the same day as mine:

So that is the small but mighty cast!;)

Okay so you may be curious.....when are they going? Where are they staying?

Well as you will see in my signature, our last trips we have stayed at beautiful POLY.........I just love POLY. Who doesn't love POLY! There are so many reasons to love POLY. One reason is the lush gardens, the flowers are beautiful, the greenery is gorgeous. Here is a pic from last year of me and DD with the lush greenery of POLY behind us. You will also notice DD's handmade Minnie dress....we were on our way to Chef Mickey. I love to have a coordinating outfit for DD for our character meals;)

Another reason is the volcano slide pool. Here is a pic from the top of the slide:

372.jpg

Lastly I just love the boat ride across the lagoon. Its soooo peaceful and we took it more than we took the monorail. Here is a great pic of one of the captains:

658.jpg

Just to name a few more great reasons to stay at POLY: Ohana's, Wishes from the beach, quick walk to the TTC and the convenient monorail.

So with all these great reasons how many of you think we are staying at POLY again????????

Nope.....we decided to save some money:lmao: and try something new.

One thing I didn't mention is we are true beach bums! Yup beach bums from Ontario Canada :rotfl2: YUP we live in the wrong country! We take alot of beach trips because we just love the beach, all of us! So we decided to try CBR. Yup we are going to CBR and I did book the preferred room so I hope its worth it!

Now since we are saving oodles of money not staying at POLY, all our trips have been 7 days, I decided to go for 10 days, so here is our plan:

DATES - September 24-October 4
WHERE - Caribbean Beach Resort

Great start and good on you for losing wieght, we are also Canadian going just a month before you, but we are from BC so we are not really neighbours.
Can't wait to read more of your plans, my pre trip is on here too if you care to look.
Christine

Congrats on the weight loss! :thumbsup2

Remember that you'll be walking all over the place, which burns lots o' calories... so pick a few special treats to indulge in while you're there. I think the key is to get right back on track when you return.

I am down 40+ lbs myself, but I intend to let vacation be a vacation food-wise too (at least somewhat!)

I couldn't help but see you think your PTR is a little late... :lmao: I just started mine yesterday, and I leave this Friday! We'll actually be back on our 2nd trip of the year while you're down there, but we'll be at ASMo then. Hmmm... maybe I should start that PTR too!

Thanks Christine!

I went looking for yours right away! Love it and can't wait to hear more!

Oh I will definately be enjoying some treats at WDW! I will stay away from fried foods but dessert will always be calling my name:lmao:

You're daughter is precious!!! This is the first year we are taking the boys (3 and 20 months) but I can already tell this will become an annual event. Nice to hear from a fellow Canadian :yay:

All our other trips have been made in April but this time we decided to go in September.........WHY..........you all may ask??????

Well we did the Pirate & Princess Party last year and it was AMAZING! We enjoyed it soooo much! Here is a pic of DD and Minnie at the party.

I hear that MNSSHP is even better so that is what we are doing this year!

I already have the tickets in hand and they are safely stored in my WDW file;)

Thank you for the kind words!

Your boys will love it! And I can guarantee it will turn into an annual event;) When are you heading down?

We're going mid September. I'll have to consider MNSSHP now  THANKS!

Definately consider it! At the irate & Princess Party we basically just walked on rides, hardly any line ups and that alone is worth the ticket price;) The parade and fireworks was very good and I hear MNSSHP is even better so we are definately looking forward to it!:cool1:

Okay so I booked our trip and got MNSSHP so now I need a FLIGHT:scared1:

So luckily I was looking around and I did see that Westjet was having a seat sale. Sorry but even though we are quite close to the US border, I have no interest in driving to Buffalo and taking a flight from there. I am 30 minutes away from Pearson Toronto Airport, it is such a convenient and nice airport, why would I waste my time taking the 1.5 hrs drive:confused3 Sorry but I honestly can't understand it. Yes flying out of the Toronto airport is more expensive but I will definately pay for the convenience;) I also would much rather fly a Canadian airline then an American airline.

So our flight out I got a really good price b/c its a thursday but the flight back is a Sunday so it was a bit more pricey! But I did book for the 3 of us and I also paid for assigned seating both ways, I just love to know where I am sitting! So I paid just under $1100.00 Cdn for the 3 of us and I am totally fine with that and let me tell you relieved that its booked and I don't have to worry about it anymore!

Next up - Flight Change and Why Are Men Like that:confused3

I think you will really like MNSSHP, we have been a few times and it is such a fun night, it goes by so fast though, it is like being in the MK for the first time, there is so much new stuff to see and do. You won't want to miss the parade, it is very different and so fun, is your DD easiy scared, it is not scary but just darker than a usual Disney parade. All the characters in their costumes is fun too.
I find that the trick or treating part just takes time away from the fun, and so I buy each little one a bag of candy at Goofy's or somewhere and just bypass those lineups and get of with the fun. Most of the candy doesn't get eaten anyway. Might be tricky with your DD's allergies too, my husband has lots of allergies, isn't it fun!?!

Thanks! With DD's peanut allergy we will not be trick or treating. I will make sure to bring her a special halloween bag filled with non-nut chocolate and candies. Which will be better b/c we will get to do more rides;) She doesn't scare too easily so I think she will be okay and she will LOVE to see all the characters in costumes! I am very excited and can't wait:cool1:

When I first started planning our trip I must have talked it over with DH 100 times but for some reason I think when I start talking Disney, he tunes out:rolleyes: Is it just my guy? Do others DH do this too?
Anywho, we have always gone for 7 days and this time I planned for 10 days so that we could take it a bit slower and since we weren't staying at POLY I knew it would take us longer to get to parks and meal locations. Ofcourse I had all my days planned already, I will definately share that with all of you soon!

So one day DH says to me....."so did you rent the car"? WHAT! We never rent a car for our WDW trips b/c we just do WDW and don't leave the property. So I ask "what are you talking about"? DH says, "since we are going for so long, 10 days, I thought we would go to Daytona Beach"! :headache: Seriously has he not been listening to anything I said?

So what do I do, I start checking the flight I booked and there was good news. If I changed my flight to add 3 more days, even with the penalty, I would only have to pay like $20 because the flight back that I would be picking is cheaper than the ones I orginially picked. So what do I do......YUP.....I change my flight. So here is our new plan:

September 24 - October 4 - DISNEY
October 4 - 7 - DAYTONA BEACH

It has been changed and now I just need to find a good hotel on the beach in Daytona...........I will gladly take all suggestions! I also need to rent a car for those 3 days.

So now we are all happy:lovestruc

I must also say that DH just LOVES Florida. We were there in April and stayed on the Gulf Side at Indian Rock Beach. It was soooo nice! We are considering buying a condo to be able to enjoy sunny Florida more often. That is why he really wanted to go to Daytona Beach, just Disney is not Florida for DH......LOL

Here is a pic of DD and I at Indian Rock at the bird sancutary:

Up Next: First Draft Plan and ADR's

So we definately knew there were some restaurants we just HAD TO eat at because they were so good and sooooo yummy!

Our last trip we ended it beautifully with a dinner at Narcoossee's. We enjoyed a delicious meal and go to see Wishes from our seat. Just take a look at these yummy plates, this will make anyone want to go back to Narcoossee's:
The whole lobster dinner:

The surf and turf:

Another must is Coral Reef. We have eaten there every trip and always yummy and what better entertainment for DD then watching and identifying the fish.

Crab:
628.jpg

Yummy sorbet dessert:
633.jpg

Another must for all our trips is Crystal Palace for breakfast, CRT for breakfast, Chef Mickey for breakfast, Ohana's for breakfast, 1900 Park Fare for both breakfast and dinner.

So these are all "MUSTS"! There are a few restaurants we have not tried that we really want to do this time around also.

Up Next: My First Draft ADR Plan

Okay seriously I spend TOO MUCH time on Dis:lmao:

Before doing my first ADR draft I read dining reviews, checked out the Food Porn on Dis, checked the menus, I spent so many hours here its crazy!

We love to have a TS for breakfast (even if we pay OOP, we don't care as long as we get a good meal to start our day), then DD gets CS for lunch (we might, we really don't eat too much and we try to eat healthy and most CS aren't) and DD will also eat snack in there and then we like to end the day with a yummy TS meal.

So here is my first ADR plan,in actual date order:

Day 1 (arrival in afternoon) - Dinner @ Chefs De France
Day 2 - Breakfast @ Tusker House, Dinner @ Coral Reef
Day 3 - Breakfast @ Crystal Palace, Dinner @ Cape May
Day 4 - Breakfast @ Chef Mickey, Dinner @ T-Rex
Day 5 - Breakfast @ Cape May, Dinner @ Le Cellar
Day 6 - Breakfast @ Crystal Palace (yes again, its our fave breakfast), Dinner will be CS at resort b/c this is our MNSSHP evening
Day 7 - Breakfast @ CRT, Dinner @ Narcoossee's
Day 8 - Breakfast @ Akershaus, Dinner @ 1900 Park Fare
Day 9 - Breakfast @ 1900 Park Fare, Dinner @ Raglan Road
Day 10 - Breakfast @ Ohana, Dinner @ Tutto Italia
Day 11 (departure day) Breakfast will be CS at resort

So how does that look?

UP NEXT - :scared1: Seriously Can't Eat There :scared1:

So as I made my first draft ADR plan and one evening I had a scrapbook crop and one of my friends had just come back from WDW so ofcourse my first question was: "Where did you eat?" , "What did you love?", "What did you hate?" Because we all know Disney is all about the food:rotfl2:

So I was so disappointed when her worst meal, in every way, was Chefs Du France. We had never eaten there but I was looking forward to it as a new place to eat at WDW but everything she said was so terrible I knew I had to take it off my list.

Then I am looking at more dining reviews and Raglan Road really did not seem like a place we would like. The food looked very unhealthy, nothing we could really enjoy.

So I now have two open dinners.............what should I pick?:confused3

UP NEXT: PICKED 2 NEW DINNERS

Your ADR's look good, I read one review of Chef du France that grossed me out, a man got his fish and when he cut it open bugs came out of it, I don't think I could ever eat there after hearing that!!
I think Biergarten sounds like fun and it is a buffet so the food should be ok, I don't know if you are planning on going to DHS but Sci-Fi is a really cool (in both sences of the word) restaurant. Maya Grill at the Coronado Springs has a good reputation and the menu looks so good. There is a new restaurant at AK lodge called Saana that has gotten good review too and it overlooks the Savana so you could see the animals while you eat.
Just some ideas, can't wait to hear where you end up.
