Hi!

We've just decided to visit WDW in August. Nothing done yet (we do have some waterpark days left on some passes).

1. Which All-Star resort do you prefer and why? We've done Sports and Movies a couple of years ago and I preferred Sports... Should I book directly at 1-407-disney? With the little reading I have done, I know I must check at discount codes and mousesavers....

2. I am located near Montreal and have flown to Orlando from there? Has anyone from out of Burlington? What identification do they ask for? If yes, what kind of deal did you get?

3. A few more: have you used Connection Meal Vouchers? Are early entrances still done?

Thanks for answering these questions. I know that I could research each answer alone but there is some much to read...

Welcome to the Canadian board Mo. Can't answer all of your questions but here's a couple of thoughts.
The All-Stars are all about the same. Our kids are adults, so we prefer Music. If I had small children, I would really try to get Movies. Now, if your family are big sports fans, I can see why Sports would be fun. Have you thought about trying the new Pop Century Resort? It's a value resort and just opened on December 14th. My husband and I are going this weekend and are staying there (we got an awesome rate of $55). Here's a thread with all the information on Pop Century. http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=475933

We've gone in August a few times, and it's important that you take a midday break. The heat and humidity can be unbearable. A break doesn't always mean leaving the parks though. Last year we had a really nice late lunch in the Japan pavilion at Epcot. It was so nice to get out of the heat for an hour or two.

They do have early magic hour. I always take advantage of that. You can get so much done in that first hour or two. We drive to most of the parks - but make sure you take the bus to Magic Kingdom. It drops you right off at the gate, so you don't have to wait for a ferry or monorail.

I would book your hotel as soon as you decide where you would like to stay. If a discount code comes out, you can call them back and have it applied. The codes don't usually come out until a couple of months before your time frame. Just keep checking mousesavers regularly. Right now, there are codes out until April 17th.

Happy planning!
