I am going in Sept. with some of my family and was hoping that there was a Canadian special that I could book with. Two years ago (booked almost 3 yrs. ago) there was a great Can. special that I used. Was there a deal last spring or not? If so about what time did it come out? We have to go at a certain time in Sept. (16th to the 29th) this time so am not sure how long to wait. I have been told however that the time we are going is a slower time. We always go in Jan. so this is the first time I have gone when it should be fairly warm out. The last time we actually needed our winter jackets part of the day. I am not sure I want to actually book until I see if there is a special that will help the cost of the trip.

From what I heard there are no specials for Canadians, and the reason being that our Dollar is doing so well! We went in 2004 and 2005 for Canadian at Par if you used your Visa, back then the exchange was at 46 cents on the dollar:scared1: So, the good news is our Dollar is doing great, but the deals aren't there when we can afford to because of our economic growth. Does that make sense? That's what I was told by our TA.

I am hoping for the free dining plan. According to these boards, last year it was offered on April 1st for travel late August and Sept. You have to pay full rack rate on Disney property and buy some park passes (not sure of all the details) but they gave you the DDP for free. My family of four took advantage of this offer last year and we saved over $1100 in meals (without even using all of our credits). Whether the same offer will come out this year, I guess only time will tell. :confused3 Keeping my fingers crossed!!

NewEars that is what I thought. I was pretty sure there was something but not sure what. Now that you mentioned it I remember the dining free option because I debated whether to go last year or not. Because of an extensive trip to England and Israel planned for this past Jan. I decided I really couldn't go to Disney as well. My 2nd dgrdd turned 8 this year so we have to take her (boy what a hardship that is..:) We took our oldest dgrdd so now it is her sisters turn. My oldest dgdd is going to England with her parents while we are in Disney so that is why I have to go at a certain time this year. The thing is though when I say I'm going to Disney the rest of the family (except the one dd and her dh) all want to come with me. It makes for a fun trip with the family, although it is a lot more planning. I think I will still have to break up my vacation into 4 different parts though. We really don't want or need the weekend passes. And we would be staying for 12 nights if we did all the nights.
